Star City Skate Center Rules

MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ASK ANYONE TO LEAVE AT ANY TIME WITHOUT A REFUND
      • ANY ONE who is pregnant, has a serious medical condition or injury are not permitted to skate
      • All BOOKBAGS, SLINGBAGS, PURSES or other bags WILL BE CHECKED BY STAFF before entering the building and must be in a locker. Any items left unattended will be taken to front office
      • ALL OUTSIDE SKATES MUST BE APPROVED BY SCSC to be worn on skating floor
      • SCSC is NOT RESPONSIBLE for lost or stolen items
      • Anyone leaving the facility MUST PAY AGAIN to RE-ENTER
      • ¬†Any child under age 12 years MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT OVER AGE 18 YEARS OLD. Any children under age 2 years skate free
      • NO SOCKS, NO SHOES . . . NO SKATES! Skates must be worn at all times unless specified at designated times to be taken off
      • NO OUTSIDE food or drink allowed and NO CHEWING GUM allowed in SCSC at ANY TIME
      • NO HATS, IPODS, CELL PHONES, HEADPHONES or any other items that can be harmful to you or another person skating, allowed on skate floor
      • NO OUTSIDE glow sticks or glow items can be brought into the building
      • NO TOBACCO PRODUCTS inside of building. (ie. Chewing tobacco, Cigarettes, etc). NO SMOKING IN FRONT OF BUILDING. Please smoke in the designated smoking area assigned
      • Alcoholic beverages, illegal substances, or anyone under the influence, will not be permitted on the premises and the police will be notified immediately
      • PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, SKATE AT YOUR OWN RISK: Roller skating is a strenuous and fast moving sport. By putting on skates and participating in this form of recreation, you are assuming the risk of an accident inherent in this and any similar sport. It is the nature of this recreation that people fall down or run into one another on occasion. If you are not willing to assume that risk, please do not roller skate here. If you doubt your ability to roller skate, please consider this notice before proceeding onto the floor. We will not be responsible for any injuries which occur to our patrons while they are present in this facility.
SKATE FLOOR RULES
    • ALL quad skates must have toe stops or toe plugs AND all inline skates must be free from protruding axles and bolts and APPROVED BY SCSC personnel to be worn on skating floor
    • All safety gear must be worn properly and free from defects that could damage the wood skating floor
    • All food and drinks purchased at our snack bar must be kept in the designated snack bar area. No food or drinks allowed on the skating floor
    • No fast skating (unless during a fast skate special)
    • While skating; no pushing, fast skating, playing tag, or suddenly stopping at any time on the skate floor is permitted, as these actions will jeopardize the safety of other skaters
    • AT ALL TIMES, all skaters must keep moving, no stopping or sitting along the walls and all skaters must skate in the regular skating direction unless during an opposite skate special
    • No more than two people can hold hands at one time or trains unless instructed by the staff
    • Children may not be carried by someone wearing skates
    • Do not climb over the wall or benches. No sitting on tables or games at any time
    • All accidents MUST BE REPORTED to the office AND DOCUMENTED during the session it occurs
